SRS warning light - A Class

Having just purchased our A170, the EBS warning light came on after 15 minutes of driving. I was advised to change the sensor behind the steering wheel, this I did and the light stayed out, but the SRS light is now on. I followed the instructions by the letter on removing the airbag, hence I cannot understand why this is on.
I had a word with a friend of a friend who had on loan a sun machine which turn the SRS light off for two days, but it is back on again!

Any ideas as the missus is driving me made with her constant moaning...........

Hi

You need to recheck the codes. If you use the MB they can check at the same time all the components & check if they are ok. Then clear the codes.
