Today I swapped out the Radio 10 on my 2002 C200 K coupe for an Xtrons Android 8.0 inch head unit. Everything went fine but I obviously had to disconnect the centre console which includes the airbag off warning lamp. I noticed whilst fitting the unit that the SRS warning was on but once I reconnected the console the warning was off.

When almost finished, I had to turn the car around to get access to the passenger side and I did this with the console disconnected and of course the SRS warning was on. I then reconnected everything only to find that the SRS warning remained on :( .

From reading other threads here and on other forums I have concluded that the SRS warning has to be reset. Is there anything else I can try? If not, does anyone know of a location in the Southampton area where I can get the warning reset without it costing an arm and a leg?

I appreciate your informed replies!

Thank you all for your replies, especially @AnthonyUK with your kind offer. My local garage who I have used for many years were able to do it using a Snap-on Diagnostic Tool. Took about 2 minutes, done while I waited!

Phew. That good to hear you have resolved it.
I did exactly the same thing so bought an iCarsoft i980 which is able to reset this.

I've had a look around at tools to enable me to do similarly but they all seem limited in functionality and expensive. I was impressed by the Snap-on diagnostic unit that my local guy used - until I looked at the price! This is the first Mercedes that I have owned and I'm not too sure yet how much DIY I am likely to undertake with it so maybe I'll wait and see...
