I wonder if anyone can help. I had my Windscreen changed on Fri and ever since, the SRS warning has been lit. Is there any reason to connect this or might it just be a fault with the airbag system, and if so what can do to get it fixed.

Helllo and welcome to the forum. what is the car please ?

With these systems if any component in the SRS chain is taken off and the ignition turned on, then the light will stay on until is is turned off on STAR diagnosis

If the windscreen company did not remove any thing like the air bags etc, maybe it was just one of those things.

Only an MB dealer or indie with a STAR test set can re set the SRS system and tell you where or what the reason is or was that the light came on

Phoned mercedes and it was £40 for the check, they seem to think it is the child seat recognition pad in the nsf seat. To change it costs £339, parts and labour. As i dont use this is there just a away i can just disable it.

Didn't say what fault was just that there were several relating to the airbag system, all connected with the child seat recognition system. They then, as you suggest, checked the connector under the seat and said this was fine, cleared the codes and restarted the car and the SRS light came back on. this is when they have suggested replacing the sensor.it is a 210.

One can fit a resistor in place of the seat pad, but this is a safety item so I cannot reveal the value.

Sorry not to be able to help further, but you could fit the pad yourself
