Had a new set of tyres fitted yesterday, the fitter notice wheels were different on each size:shock:, Some one must have fitted front wheels on one side and backs on the other, as the fronts are 6.5 and rear are 7.0, it does say on wheel back axle only
Question is why have stagger wheels and same size tyre all round? 225/50/16? thats what website suggest on internet and what i had on the car

On a 203 the rears should have 225-50-16 on 8" rims and 205-55-16 on the front with 7" rims

My winter tyres are 225's all round on staggered wheels, only because it is very difficult to source 245 winter tyres for the rear, hardly anyone makes them that size. Maybe someone used them as spare wheels before you got the car?

That's exactly, both wheel and tyre size, as on my late 2004 C Class Avantgarde.

Staggered with 6.5J and 7J wheels sounds odd to me. 225 tyres would both wheel widths OK (in fact the online calculators show 8J is too wide for 225's :?: ) but the fronts must look a bit odd.
