stalling problem

Hi, I am the proud owner of a 1990 300te, 200,000 plus on the clock, but up to now, very reliable. My car is an automatic, and for the last fortnight, has been stalling when it reaches working temperature, 80 degrees,it has become a nightmare to drive, if I keep the revs at 10,000 in neutral I can keep it running, but if when at traffic lights , I allow it to idle at 6,000, it will stall on pulling away, I have had the CO2 checked and adjusted, but have been told that the hydrocarbon reading is fluctuating , when it is cold it drives ok, but on reaching 80 degrees, becomes very difficult to keep going, above 10,000 no problem!
please can anyone advise.
