i have a 13y old 300TE which has been fantastically reliable until now. After running for approx 10 mins the car stalls with loss of power- this only happens if driving at low speeds or pulling away from lights etc. This only applies to first run of the day. All diagnostics checks ok at garage and car usually restarts if you wait a few minutes although may be a little juddery at first then runs perfectly. Only other problem is slow leak on coolent which has got v low at times

Don't know about the stalling. I just had a problem with a slow coolent leak that took some time to find. Was the fitting on top of the radiator that connects the overflo tube. Wouldn't hurt to check. Good Luck!

Have you tried changing any of the consumables?

Plugs, Leads, Distributor cap and Rotor arm? these things do tend to wear over time, and can cause the most irritating problems.

Karen.

If this only happens as you say, "on the first run" are we talking about a relativly cold engine, in which case it could be some kind of fault on the enrichment side of things, IE defective sensor, etc etc.

Have you managed to solve the miss-fire yet. I have exactly the same problem with my 300TE and need to know where to start looking.
