I am finally getting round to taking in my S320 (2001) to have it plugged in STAR to recognise COMAND, so it will show up in the instrument display.
I also hope to have the door mirrors "fold on close" (they are one touch), and I beleive I can have the low tyre pressure warning thing  done which works off the ESP ?
Can someone confirm the tyre pressure thing can be done?

I want to steer the tech guys  in the right direction as they probably dont get many COMAND retrofits or requests for such things, so what is the correct tech phraseology to request all of the above ?

thanks

Chas

What do you mean by command will show up in the instrument display? Is that the large arrow and miles to next turning etc...

Chas,

I don't think that they can do the autofold mirrors, MB Norwich have told me that the option was not available until the facelift, late 2003.

However I hope you can prove them wrong, best of luck.

Thanks, colechelle and M6AJJ, I thought it was possible if the mirrors fold with one touch, as opposed to holding in the button till close. I will try anyway...

wish me luck!

I am not disputing anything put up by others but many operators of STAR do not know that these things are there.

I will ask elsewhere for you

I also tried to get MB Bolton to do the auto fold mirrors on locking (one touch fold) They said NO mb dealer would do it as it was not standard. Cried something like if something went wrong Quote:wiring burns out I could hold them responsible. Best of luck.

I was told by MB that the auto fold feature is only available on post 2003 cars that have a different controller to the one fitted on earlier cars.
