starter motor

hi every1

i need a starter motor well i think thats what it is anyway

for a mercedes c200 2.0 auto if anyone has 1 can u please pm me or email me as i need 1 asap and can anyone please help me and tell me where is the starter motor exactly located in the engine bay

because when u try starting it it makes a loud krrrrrr noise then once its fired up goes away

This sounds like the solenoid is having problems to engage.

A low battery will also give the identical affect. Have you measured the voltage when the engine is cranking.

I only ask so that you do not buy something that you do not need.

i really appreciate ur help mate but the noise is coming from the starter and i was told it was that aswell but as ur saying mate im not really 100% sure it is that the only way to find out is if i can be able to find out where it actually is

I know the noise is coming from the starter but it my not be faulty.

OK so you want to change it its under the inlet manifold going into the bell housing.

ok thanks for that malcolm and what size is the starter and any idea how it comes out (bolts/nuts and what sizes)

Do not know the size,its marked on it.it could be a DENSO, VALEO or BOSCH

its held on by 2 x 13mm bolts.
