Any help as to the correct starting tech, as the car will start from cold, but I have to turn the engine over for about 5 sec when warm. Do I depress the throttle fully as I start or not???
Cheers.
You could try reving the engine as you switch off. This will load the cyclinders with petrol. It will either be better or worse when you restart...then you'll have an idea as to what is going on.
KeithD. Shouldn't need throttle to start as this is controlled by the ECU, cold-start valve etc. (all things electronic!) As turnipsock suggests maybe a change of plugs would do no harm.
Turnipsock, sorry to disagree, but revving up before switching off is not a good idea. Excess unburned petrol washes oil from the cylinder walls etc. so next start up is 'dry' - not good.
