Steering angle sensor picture

Hi to all
MB made a test to my W211 2.7 and said that the steering angle sensor is faulty(picture1) but later I found there are two components, see (picture2) please.
Will call them ROUND PART AND SQUARE PART.
Bought from MB Square parts(£200) put on car, ESP message still there...!!!!
Part dismounted.
Bought from MB Round parts (£90) put on car, ESP still there...!!!!

Both brand new parts was mounting to the car...ESP message still there

Been today to MB to ask what part of steering angle sensor was faulty, they offer to book the car again, for anther 110 pounds, madness!

The Q is: What part of the steering wheel sensor is faulty?

Ive got one of those on my kitchen work top. (one in your hand in pic)
Was bought to replace mine when I had the same fault.
I tried a couple that had similar part no's and eventually went on looks alone.
Crazy but fortunately worked.
Part no's are a night mare.
I did list it for sale somewhere, you are welcome to try it.

Regarding your question it could also be neither faulty but something associated.
Are you only getting esp error or any other symptoms ?

ESP and Light cornering function not available. those two message come together.
The parts is brand new from MB, it cant be faulty i supose

Might be but doubt it.
ESP is a system. The angle sensor is just one part of it.
