Tyres will make no difference unless there is something wrong with one of them.

Yep and that's the problem. Wheels in motion or Steve at Avantgarde will both do it correctly. Wheels in motion also recommend someone near Manchester I think who would do it correctly but I don't have the name.
If you think it's tyres swap them side to side.

Tracking is definitely your issue sorry. The original garage messed it up and the others don't know how to correct it properly.
One thing about directional tyres (I assume you mean V pattern tread?).
They can become VERY noisy as they wear and sound like wheel bearings are failing.

The way to fix the pull is staggered caster. If one side is set to the maximum limit and the other to minimum it may be enough to do it. I can't remember off the top of my head which side needs more caster.

As above, staggered caster is where one side at the front has more caster than the opposite side.
Rear wheels don't have caster.

On a flat car park it should go perfectly straight.
The problem started when you changed tyres and had tracking done. One of those two things is the issue.
As tyres can only impact on this by being underinflated or different side to side the logical thing is tracking is wrong.
Given you said the steering wheel wasn't straight after the tracking was done (and it was before presumably) its very clear the tracking was incorrectly done.
Get it done by someone with a Hunter machine that knows what they're doing.
