steering stiff to the left

I have a 1981 mercedes w123 300d and the power steering is fine when turning to the rigth but incredibly hard to turn to the left, the fluid level is fine, there are no strange noises and the pump is working well, fluid is pumping through the return and feed from the pump, can anyone help????

Hi There, I would jack the front of the car up and check all the steering linkages
for stiffness while turning the steering wheel . Do this with engine off and also with engine running.

You have a seized lower arm ball joint. Almost certain.

Could very well be as Mike says and dont ignore it, I did on my 124, luckily I had slowed to 15mph to turn off the main road when it let go, the ball had siezed in the socket and sheared in two,loosing steering and suspension on this side. Scary.
I think the suspension setup on the 123s are different, do they have two wishbones?, or is that the 112s. Been too long to remember Im afraid.
