I have recently aquired a Squeaky Rubber Noise that is coming from my steering mainly when turning the steering wheel left.
The noise occurs when manovering the car at low speeds (parking, turing corners etc)
The noise came after i did a 150km run.Good for the engine but somethings occured with the steering.

I have checked the AT Fluid and the levels seem fine.

I have read the previous threads about this issue however i haven't seem to discovery any solutions..

Any help would be appreciated before i take it to the mechanics..
Best Beresford.

I'ts probably nothing more than a dry rubber bush on the steering column. I would remove the under dash tray and spray the column shaft liberally with WD40, especially where it goes through the mounts.
Merc ended up replacing the rack on my W210 to fix the same problem, but its usualy not that serious and if I had been paying, it would still be sqeaking!
This fault is more common during the summer as the air is dryer, but if you had a long run with the heater on, that could have the same drying effect.
