Hi all.

Just a small thing really... but isn't it the small things in life that niggle us the most?!

It seems that with car manufacturers that a 3 spoke steering wheel is the premium option, with 4 spoke being standard. I like the fact that my B160 has a 4 spoke.

I don't know what it is, but I think 3 spoke ones are hideous, yet car manufacturers market them as being cool upgrades. The wooden 4 spoke SLS steering wheel is how they should all come.

Am I alone... or mad... or both :D

Whatever the spokes the most important thing is comfort and to have a horizontal or near horizontal spoke at the 10 and 2 positions on the wheel mean the wheel can be adequately controlled with one hand (the right hand).

I love how the W124 has only one indicator stalk on the right so when crusing on the motorway only one arm is needed on the wheel and for indicating and the left hand can stay on the armrest where it belongs!

I'm not sure if this was intentional and if they swap it for the LHD models (and put the stick on the left) but with the left arm on the armrest, the transmission in D, and the right hand resting on the door trim and doing the steering/indicating hours upon hours of driving can be completed on reasonably straight roads in the perfect position comfortwise! I challenge anyone to find a more comfortable car seat/position/ease of drive!
