My 1994 C180 sunroof is moving slower than normal and gets stuck half way. Then it becomes a problem getting it back to close. I do have to jam the button and push from below or pull the leading edge to get it moving. Also when it opens, the leading edge is moving at an angle of 10 degrees or a bit more to the opening's front edge. To explain again, one side is moving faster than the other side. The right side is backing at a faster rate than the left side. This becomes a fixed angle after a few seconds. I am afraid that if done again, it will surely pop out totally. Whats wrong? Think its jumped the rails? The pulling cord or chain has stretched? The tilting brackets been damaged or cracked? The motor is half gone? Still moves though. 2 years ago it was sticky and the dealer used lots of Benz grease and I bought a new battery and it was fixed(old battery was pretty dead then). Please help buddies, don't want to have to pay A$2000 to the stealers! :x :cry: :? : :cry: By the way the tilt is still working up and down.
