Hi All,
My throttle Pedal is stiff!! you seem to need to push it through a resistants and so you can get a surge of power when you don't need it such as in a queue of traffic.
I remember my older estate was similar....but is there anything to improve it please??
Regards Neil

This is a common complaint. Replacing the throttle cable and cleaning & lubricating the throttle linkage may help but I don't think there's a 100% cure

Moving the driver's seat forward one notch can help quite a bit

Mine (1994 W124 E280) was exactly like you discribe, and it took some care in busy queueing traffic - one bonus was that, once tried, the missus refused to ever drive it again..!!!
I did all the usual, lubricating the linkage / cable and tried improving the routing of the cable.....but nothing made any difference.
Had to learn to live with it - and it certainly didn't spoil my enjoyment of this delightful car.

I found with a couple of 'used' cars that the return spring on the carb/throttle could be a bit weak,,,,

Some people replace this with a stiffer item (maybe too stiff ?!),,,,, maybe lots of these niggles are just that ?!

Mine is a bit awkward when parking at home as I have to reverse up a slight incline, to within an inch of a wall. If I don't get it spot on the first time, it's a nightmare trying to drop forward a bit to do a re try.

Mine is not as bad as you describe but the throttle IS heavy comapre to my Dads' M5 BMW, and my other MB, a C240. I like it that way though, it makes the car feel "proper solid". Mind you, if I had the choice to make it a bit lighter, I would. My Dad thought it was horrible! He is a BMW driver though... ;o)
