Dear Members.
Though iv'e own my Mercedes for over six months now i still consider myself as a Newbie to these fabulous cars.
My biggest problem really is i have little or no one to make comparisons with when it comes to car performance.
What i mean is i'm driving about, thinking and hoping the car is running at peak performance, but how would i know, For all i know the car could be sluggish, acceleration could be better, is my fuel consumption correct, 0 to 60, what's the stats on that one. I understand my car is a good nineteen years old and that it has seen a good 145,000 K, so would i be expecting too much, or is their plenty of life in her so as to give it a good run at high speed.
Or should i take it's age into consideration and play it safe.
I don't have a knowledge of it's past and whilst driving i think to myself, should i take a bend gently coz of the suspension, Should i not accelerate to sharply coz of the pistons, you know things like that because you can't but help think of the age and like ourselves we start to fall apart with age.
Anyone out their to reasure and give me some confidence would be well recieved.
Thanks
Mike.
