stock speakers

can someone please tell me i got a 1999 r reg mercedes c-class w202 model, its a c180 and i wanted to know what are the stock speaker sizes. i got six speakers two in the lower front door pannels ,two in the rear back pannels, and two on the back above the seats where the headrests are situated. I dnt no the sizes of the speakers and i wanted to know because i am in the processing of changing the sounds so i can wire up my sub.

I believe the size of the front stock speakers are 5", although they have a plastic surround around them that makes the hole about 6". I believe you can fit 6" speakers without a problem but if you want 6.5" you need a mounting kit which you can buy off the internet as the magnet will get in the way of the windows.

Don't have a clue about the rear speakers as I have an estate.

No problem.

Here's the link for the speaker adaptors http://www.caraudiocentre.co.uk/product_m--ct25mc04-sak-2002_p-19977.htm. I think you get plugs with them which connect into the OEM speaker plugs so that you don't have to cut the wires.

basically i want to take the exsiting speakers out completly and replaces them with new ones which intend to amp. this link you sent me is it for the 6.5" or for the 6"speakers.

As I said, 6" should fit without any modification
