There's Ventureshield http://www.venture-shield.co.uk/ and Paintshield http://www.paintshield.co.uk .

I bought some film from http://www.lamin-x.co.uk to do the fog lamps on wifey's new Honda Jazz the other day as apparently they're prone to breakage.

I've got a feeling all these firms might be tied in with each other - not sure? 3M seems to be mentioned in various places but whether they really make the film supplied, I don't know.

There's also Mastershield http://www.pentagonlondon.co.uk/pentagon_master_shield.html

There's quite a lot on PistonHeads about paint protection, especially on Porsches. People seem to have very strong views good and bad on most suppliers, but Paintsheild seems quite popular.

Sorry, not aware of any near you - maybe if you get in touch they could tell you if there are any local installers?

ETA: Found another one, Armourfend: http://www.armourfend.co.uk/

Can anyone give a rough cost of applying this to the bonnet/front of a car? Just a ball-park figure would be great as I may be interested if it isn't mortgage type money.

Thanks

Anyone who does those vinyl graphics / lettering will be able to sort you out and fit it for you... 'tho you have to be wary of putting it on a car that has been repainted, it can cause bubbling and the paint to lift..
