Stop start question

My B Class shows as the stop start icon on the dash as not working. But the button either pushed or not makes no difference.
Battery charge is 14.9v so looks good.
Any suggestions?

I’m no expert but doesn’t the stop start work from a separate battery in the boot ?

Get the codes read, believe the B class has a capacitor instead of a battery, if it does have a battery then it’s under the dash on the passenger side!
