Strange fuel pump noise!

Hi all, my 2014 E350 coupe makes a strange fuel pump noise. Every now and again when I start the vehicle, it sounds like the fuel pump is priming for 1 second and then stops. I’m guessing it’s the fuel pump as the noise comes from the backseat area it seems. After this, there are no other issues driving, just a bit strange hearing it once a while.

Is there any potential issue? As i’d rather get this fixed before my warranty runs out!

When you turn the key the pump will prime the system ready for start then switch off until the ECU detects crank rotation.

Sounds perfectly normal to me.

No, it’s like a very loud noise, not a normal noise, it happens maybe once every 30 starts.

If you're in warranty take it to the dealer.
