My CLK230 suddenly developed a loud whine from the front passenger side, it was taken to the Mercedes dealer as I suspected a wheel bearing. Nothing was found and the tyres are OK and I have also had the tracking checked which was OK. The noise is still there and the dealer cannot give me a reason for it despite having paid him over 350 euros ( I live in Portugal) The noise increases with an increase in speed - any suggestions as to the cause or anyone having experiencing similar would be appreciated. The car has covered 136KM and apart from the noise drives and handles perfectly??

Hello :D by jacking the front of the car you can feel if a wheel bearing is faulty, when tuning the wheel round you will feel the rollers if they are worn damaged, it will feel like a mild vibration feeling,,compare this with the other side and you will feel the difference.

Wheel bearing start humming on a smooth road from around 25 MPH and stay up to the max speed. By opening the window and leaning your head out they can be heard
