Not really vehicle specific as such but my Viano came with no jack, tools, inflation/repair kit. I've bought the inflator/sealer but I really would like to have a jack onboard. All four jacking points are a rubber boss about 60mm dia. Any normal scissor/bottle jack pad is so likely to slip... I need one that has a cup top like nearly all trolley jacks. Mercedes do them in scissor form for Vito/Viano but they are £250 on Ebay and I'd feel far more comfortable under £50 which were it not for the need for the cup top would easily buy a suitable 1.5-2.0 ton scissor jack.

There are plenty of jack kits for the A & B series which look correct and are under £50 on Ebay but their lift capacity is about 50% of what I need.

Any thoughts appreciated.

The bosses are plastic with an insert that effectively flares the legs to hold them in like a rawl plug. They are cr*p and feasibly dangerous.
On a perfectly flat ground with a 2 tonne trolley jack they might last. Anything else and not straight up force and they break.

I can't find a link to the ones I replaced with, but they are perhaps 20mm deep and not over expensive.

I use a jack similar to this I think

I tried the SGS jacks, but it wasn't reliable, not a patch qualitywise and the company are gits to deal with when there is an issue.

Be v careful with ramps, similar weight but I ran Mrs Me's Gr Cherokee up a pair. The uprights buckled and it descended. There are heavy duty on the market but I haven't tried them.

I've just looked at the boss thingys again. I thought they were strong rubber but can see with any twist how they might pull out. I wonder if Mercedes workshop have an adaptor on their lift arms that is a very deep cup so it contacts the body and these just act as locating pegs?
