Hi all,

When I purchased the sl it has the oil light on, this is because of the oil level sensor on the sump (had a good discount for this saying I would have to pay someone to do the job) the seller has sent me the new part and I was wandering if anyone has any directions on the easiest way to do this?

Thanks in advance

Ross

Does anyone know the part number for the oil level sensor on a 95 SL500?
Went in to the dealers and they couldn't find it on the system!
Cheers,
Nik

Same engine as my CL500 and if im not mistaken the engine has to come out to replace the sensor, sensor sits inside the engine, sump has to be removed to gain access but the problem is there is a huge part of the chassis that runs underneath the sump hence why the engine has to be removed.
