Sunroof on W123

Hiya just bought a W123 230CE and the sunroof does not work previous owner said he thinks it is the relay not the motor is there a way of knowing the diffrence and how to change the Relay ? many thanks

I'd pull the rear wheelarch liner out and check whether there is any power getting to the motor.
You can also work the roof back and forth to check all is well mechanically - there is a lug you can attach to the motor and wind it manually.

Do you know which rear wheel liner? and what I should look for once I've pulled it out?

Also how and where do I attach the lug?
