SW Update Error 0x 2 3 1 2 - PLEASE HELP!

Hi

I brought a SLK 1.8, 2010 plate in December last year. All had been running fine until one evening last week. I used the car in the morning and there were no problems, but when I started the car in the afternoon, the command screen said:

SW Update. Error on Update 0x 2 3 1 2

I've taken it to a mercedes dealer who said that nothing is showing on their computer and as they don't repair, they can only recommend a brand new command centre for £1500!

Can anyone help? Has anyone seen this before?

Talk to comand.co.uk, they're not too far away from you (and are forum sponsors on here), they are the comand gurus, you'll get far more sense from tham compared to a main dealer!! I'll put money they'll sort the problem for far less than MB have suggested!

Also worth pulling the comand fuses for 10 mins and see if it resets.

The Comand unit, I understand is showing 'Software missing'. This appears part way through software updates and is a result of the firmware being erased during flashing. If you see this then it sounds like the firmware flash has been corrupted.

We can attempt to re-flash it for you.
