Hi when coming out of a multistory car park yesterday while coming down hill and turning a clicking and vibration could be felt through the steering wheel, what are the symptoms of worn ball joints. Thanks.

What,car?
If it could be felt through the steering wheel more likely to be worn track rod ends ,wheel bearings or steering idler bush. Jack the car up and check for play by rocking the wheels.

This would not be ball joints, they would not cause a viabration. If this is the only time it has happened,it may have been BAS or ESP doing something.
the exits to some of these car parks are quite slippery and the car stays on one lock for a long time. If it does it on the open road, come back, and we will all re think.

does not do it on open road and is more like a vibration.

In that case it was one of the braking or ESP,BAS systems that got itself into a muddle.
These things keep all four wheels going at the same speed, leaving a multi car park on those long downward curves set it off.
Don't worry.

The symptoms I got was that the steering was very heavy and stiff. What you have doesn't sound like a ball joint problem.
