T212 facelift, 2013. A few toys including pan roof, 19" rims, Harmon Kardon, nappa, privacy glass.
have a 211 estate with electric tailgate. 'playing' with the buttons and it only now opens 2/3's high. Will close aok.

Is there a way to reset it ? The manual just give details of opening/shutting and not how to rectify meddling

W212 sport e250. (miss the e320 w211)
on mine 2003 e320 you can set this option in the convienence features on the dash, cycle through the options and settings on the steering wheel switches and you should find it.

It is for people with low garages etc to stop the boot hitting the roof.

Yep, mine has this setting in the cluster menu. Think it's called "opening limiter" or something like that.
Didn't know what it was for until toby tobias explianed.
Thanks. :)

...and lo and behold he found the 'rear door opening limiter' after fiddling with the settings via the steering wheel controls.

All reset to full opening now.

Many thanks again :D:D:D

Easy when you know how, eh?
You should find steering col and seat adjust for easy entry in there too.
