Tail light problem

Hi I have a 2004 S350 and one of the bulbs in the tail light and one of the bulbs in the number plate not working. So get new bulbs and fit still not working. Seems unlikely to be a fuse as the left hand bulbs in both cases are working. Where do I go from here ??

If you are handy with a multimeter - start tracing back.
Its not uncommon at this time of year for mice to start hiding in car's warm engine bays and nibbling wires - so a good look over for broken wires everywere.

Be sure to cycle the ignition. The SAM can disable a feed till reset by cycling.

hi had similar problem on a E250 cdi. Found a break in the supply wire running up the boot hinge arm constant up and down of the boot must have fatigued and broken the wire. Just re join and tape up.

Probably the earth connection...prone to corrode
