Hi,
The tailgate in my e250 2010 estate stopped raising and lowering. Then i found this is the problem-
s212 auto tailgate inoperative
The motor is located rear left under the headliner. I know how the complete headliner comes out and it requires working from the front of the car to the rear. I won't be doing that. Nor do I intend to let anyone else do the work.
I wonder if working from the rear of the car, enough space may be created to access the tailgate motor (situated as per the attached photo)?
I presume this job is frequently performed in garages. I wonder how they manage it?
Has anyone had the pleasure?
Thank you for reading,
D.
