Tcm communication problem

Hi my Mercedes c300 w204 is in limp mode, scanner fault code is u 0101 is there a fuse or relay I can test and what number is the relay ,fuse .what ells can I do to look for the problem. Will it help to remove the TCM and clean it .There is oil on the electric plug that go to the transmission I cleaned it but it did not reset.

Hi I am new on this page hope this is correct. My mercedes c300 w204 is in limp mode fault code u01010 communications problem .question what is the fuse and relay number of the Tcm and can that be the problem.question 2 will it help if I clean the TCM and install it again ,there was oil on the connector where it go in to the gearbox I kleen it bud still come up with u0101code Thanks

TCM is inside the gearbox
if there is power present at the connector, the problem is a dead TCU (most likely)

I test the connector and get 12v out there

Just electroplate should be suitable

You could try ECU testing or AC tronics
