Star yes and the extension could be for a lot longer if things dont change . I am stuck in and we are both vulnereble with health problems .
I can get no shopping delivered .We have had our shopping delivered for years but so many have joined, now we are unable to get a slot to have it delivered they are all full . Both Tesco and Sainsburys are both closed to any phone calls . I also pick up my friends shopping at the ame time as ours .So he is dependant on us .

We have exactly the same issue.
We have managed s delivery next week from Asda (who we've never used before as we don't have a local one) but no chance of a delivery the following week.
No slots at all in Tesco. Waitrose are reserving their deliveries for vulnerable people but even though MrsLK is registered as vulnerable still no slots.
I'm going to go tonight to our local Waitrose and if it's quiet get whatever I can that we need.
We do have a neighbour

Not sure what happened there but as I was saying, we do have a neighbour who has offered to get shopping for us but we feel we can't ask them to get a full week shopping and put themselves at risk.

The MOT thing I believe is 6 month extension from expiry but I'm not sure.
I managed to get ours done before lockdown so we're good until August at which point I have to go to France and get the 129....

LostKiwi it is the same all over the country ,,all the super stores have no slots .We have a delivery every month from Sainsburys or Tesco and some times 2 along with a pick up of items we need for the week in store every Tuesday .Reason is ,, the other half likes to pick the beef joint and fruit rather than have any crap they whant to get rid of . .I must go out tomorrow,, and if get the dreded corvid19 then its not because i wanted it. Just been on line now and the phone for 20 mins to Sainsburys i have to wait now to find out if i qualify as vulnerable .

Helps to have your NHS number handy. I just registered wife and I. May take a week or so for Waitrose, Sainsburys and any other supermarket that decides to join those 2 and prioritise the extremely vulnerable for delivery slots.

My friend has come back from the local lidls superstore (around 4.30pm) and the store was empty, as in no shoppers..
I think the panic buyers have bought so much that they have no where else to put any new stuff !

We needed quite a few things and read that Sainsburys were allowing elder;y and vulnerable people in between 09:00 and 10:00. Well, the traffic was very light so we got there at 08:50. They had a young lady controlling the queue which is routed around the front of the store and they have lines stuck down at 2.0 metre spaces. We queued for 7 or 8 minutes and took a small trolley each so we could go in different directions and get half of the list each. It was all very calm - the people were all respectful of distance etc and we finished in about 20 minutes. , However, when we got to the tills none of them have the screens that have featured on the Beeb news web page - I queried that and the lady on the till shrugged and said "not yet".

Yes you know why, Lidl and Aldi are empty because most of them registered on line to the store who deliver to the door .Reason being that both lidl and aldi dont deliver .

Smart + others :)
Ok the decision has been made,

I have decided to re open the workshop from June 1st.
We could have remained closed until next year and not worried about finances but I fear nothing would have changed so we have put lots of new measures in place to enable social distancing and the anti bac cleaning of cars. Timed drop offs, contactless payments etc etc.
I have also spoken to the parts director for our local mb group and he has guaranteed a decent supply of parts from June 1st.
