Tensioner Damper

Hi,

How do I replace a tensioner damper on a E300TD 1997, I had a bash at it but the bolt was too long and was hitting the rad.

Please advise.

Try putting a extension bar the top spring holder ( hole there ) and levering to the left, this will movw the hole tensiong device up and may give you room.

I think that is wot your talking about, if not sorry!!
