I was in the West Midlands for a few days this week and noticed an oil stain when I moved the W212 and also a rainbow effect in the rainwater which was running down the hill behind the car. The car then juddered twice when pulling away from a standing start.

I arrived unannounced with no appointment at MB Wolverhampton yesterday and was greeted by Sharon and Tony, two of the service advisors. Within two hours the car had been on the ramps, a leak in one of the two oil feed pipes identified, and the ATF topped up so I could get home without wrecking the gearbox. Car is booked into local Indy tomorrow to check which pipe to order but in the meantime a massive thank you to the team at MB Wolverhampton for looking after me yesterday.

That was the icing on the cake. Obviously they had to charge for the AT fluid they used but they only charged me for twelve minutes labour. TWELVE MINUTES! It probably took them that long to get it into the workshop and onto the ramps.

Total charge was only £89 which is also why I wanted to publicise how good the experience was
