...Hertfordshire Merx for a job well done yesterday. It was certainly something which I had considered and would have been capable of doing had I not had my current physical restrictions but after seeing you yesterday I was oh so glad I did not even attempt it, a buggers jiggler of a job:shock:

I have no hesitation in recommending this Independent it was a real pleasure to do business with a straight forward honest, knowledgeable and professional individual.

Like other owners who use Indies and have had equally good experiences I am truly grateful that they (Indies) frequent this forum and give so freely of their time, knowledge and experience, something I have NEVER experienced with MB or for that matter Volvo, SAAB, VW, AUDI or FORD etc

Replaced the ball joints which had rusted or should I say welded themselves in, hence my comments on not doing it myself. Checked the transmission fluid, cleaned a very oily and dirty engine underside in order to locate the source of an oil/fluid leak. In fact he inspected all of the underside gear and I watched as he checked everything with great care and thoroughness pointing out two (really) perished rear brake hoses - MOT done 4 months ago failed to report them.:cool:

This again shows the advantage of having a good indie do the work, for me it is the little things that will need doing in the future that they point out. The fact that you can see what he points out makes a huge difference, you can plan your budget and what you may feel like tackling your self.

I think most of Indies are the same, they all give us alot better customer service as well as greatest repairs. I have posted a similiar post after my visit to guys at MBS, I went to get ATF changed, Not only they changed ATF, they also inspected the whole car and pointed out 2-3 things which will need changing soon.

I have been to them again to get all those things done and now due for another visit.
