The lights on the dashboard failed a few days ago but I tracked it down to the dimmer rheostat ? this was entirely thanks to the information I got from a search of this forum ? so thanks for that. I ended up removing & bypassing the unit until I get a new one.

I noticed I?d dislodged a thin hard plastic grey pipe as I was wrestling with the instrument binnacle & for the life of me I can?t see where it goes. It turned out to be a vacuum pipe to the ?economy gauge?. Any ideas as to where it plugs?

Thanks.

Regards
Russell

if it's like an SL same vintage

it should just slip onto a tube at approximately econometer position at the back of the instrument panel. Unless of course, you've kept that bit intact and dislodged it from somewhere else?
