Just to say I’ve had such fun looking around this forum for the last few months I thought it’s about time I said hello.
I picked up my CLS in January 2007 after a friend pointed one out, saying that they were the most desirable cars on the road. I’ve never had a more completely satisfying car, that’s needed so little input to waft me to my destination. And for those times when I want a bit more than wafting, the Brabus chip dose it’s stuff to kick up some rubber. My first Mercedes & a year on, so impressed with the car I can say I’m hooked.
You know how sad it is when you get a new car, you start to notice all the other cars from the same manufacture. And this is where it gets to be a habit. You start looking at other models, comparing them, going on the forums, and before you realise it you’re looking for another car.
You’re all bad people. If I hadn’t found this forum I would never have looked twice at the very lovely, dark blue, low mileage, fully loaded CLK 320 (W208) 2002 that I’ve just bought. But I realized I’d always thought of them as a design classic, from there it’s only a small jump to believing you’re actually buying an investment.
So, for the time being, I’ll just enjoy the friendly banter on the forum. Might even add my own two pen’th worth. But I’m sure before not too long I’ll be here, asking for your help & advice. It’s OK though, I know how to release the footbrake.
Many thanks in advance.
