I agree, I didn't like them when they appeared on the latest S class. I'm also not that keen on the split headlight arrangement, it looks a bit Japanese to me

nice looking beastie but it won't have me rushing to change like the switch from the 210 to 211 did. The 210 was always a bit too slab sided from me (didn't stop me buying on though) whereas the 211 is just perfect from virtually every angle. The 212 will probably grow on us though. I'm quite interested to see what the interior looks like. The 204 interior isn't that popular amongst us old fashioned owners so I just hope they haven't plasticked up the 212.
Then again it's all academic if the economy goes the way Robert Peston keeps shouting from the BBC rooftops!.

Hmmm...well it will save many from investing in the "Lexus lights" mod at the back. Looks to me like it has borrowed the IS200 lights.

I think i like it, definately need to see one in the real to make my mind up. looks better in the redish colour than it does the silver.

Surely the whole 'mid size saloon car' segment is by its very definition 'dadmobile'?
