C250d AMG
Yeah I have a few AMG bits in mine.. AMG on the 19 wheels, AMG branded mats. It is AMG line and has all the exterior and interior packs, but is a c250d..

I removed the c250d badge as I simply prefer a cleaner look and always debadge my cars , but certainly don't pretend it's something it isn't.

As others have said , the 19s even with the lowered sports suspension are still plenty comfy, surprisingly so!

My son has the E53 AMG coupé (with some sort of electric boost) . Other than the fact that it is not a V8, it is an AMG in every other aspect and will leave many earlier AMGs standing in the dust. Sadly he is going over to the dark side and has ordered a Taycan :( for delivery next year.
I love the noise from the V8 but you make an excellent point, any number of the AMG marque were not V8's, dare I mention the diesel derivitive? A diesel AMG might go against the grain and is that the reason why that version had a short lifespan?

Putting on my captain sensible hat for a brief second, no one but no one will drive any type of powerful car to anything like its full potential. Just remember that we all must only drive at a speed that we can stop within the distance we can see :) phew...

Still want an AMG... If only they had a Sprinter AMG :) :)

Would it be so wrong for me to add the AMG and V8 Compressor badges on my 'stretched limo'?

I'm almost there but being totally honest.... I would only ever have an AMG version :)

Unlike your example my stretched limo has a full-length bed (the less understanding would call it a stretcher) Not just a full length bed but a bed that 'floats' :)

Oh and mine also has chrome mirror protectors which I feel complete that colour scheme.

Thanks for that link

My friends 518 - ex-Police Riot van - Full sized bed with "garage" underneath
The Awning is a full walled motor-sport one (I've slept in the Awning many times)

I agree the 'AMG-Line' has no external badging but are there some AMG badges in the interior? Why on earth have AMG badged carpets in anything other than the actual AMG vehicle?

My car is a C350CDi Sport and has AMG mats and AMG on the wheels as standard from the factory, AMG Line is just Sport spec on newer cars, I also have an Affalterbach key

Please do not think for one milli=second that I am being critical of anyone that owns the very nice AMG-Line, I was simply agreeing with folks who point out that this model does not have any exterior badges that display the AMG badge.

I guess that Mercedes, BMW and Audi all feel the name of their top sports model helps sell the car? I say that purely because why else call a 2ltr diesel car an AMG-Line

Nothing wrong with the older Avantgarde or Elegance.

I wonder if an AMG car mat is quicker than a standard mat? Should an AMG mat be badged AMG-Line mat?

There is absolutely no need for anyone to justify their ownership of these really nice cars. NONE

It is exactly as BMW (M Sport) and Audi (S Line) do, make it look sportier and give it a sportier name tag, marketing at it's finest.

One mat for all is cheaper to manufacture.

My rubber winter mats have no logo's on

I have the E-class Exclusive which comes with a Designo interior and sure enough on the mats is the Designo label but like you, they are stored in the garage and we have purchased third-party products.

Audi do badge as S line though I think? Vs their S# or RS# full fat cars.

Think BMW just use M as merc use AMG....

I bought the same and tbh I prefer them the AMG branded ones are hung up in the garage so the only reference to AMG on my car is a small logo on the alloys ( and the key of course )

No pictures, I'm afraid, but I got quite excited when a GLC with a Pan America grill pulled up behind me at a viewpoint in the Ardeche gorge today. When I got out, I was hoping to exchange a few fraternal words with another AMG driver until I noticed the 250d badge on the rear. No wonder he so sheepishly kept out of my way!

This thread makes us sound like a bunch of sad pricks...IMO. I think we think more about other people's decisions than they do...or we care to admit to.
