It was like shooting fish in a barrel…Blimey BC, you scooped the jackpot there with that lot. Excellent work, Sir.
C30 AMG - a 3.0 engine modified from the OM612 il5 270cdiDiesel AMG’s do exist but are few and far between.
I wanted a R172 SLK 55 (to replace the R172 350 I’d sold in Oz) when we moved back to the UK. My wife talked me out of a 55 into a SL. I still have very mixed feelings. We got the SL for touring which, between grandkids being born and at teh other end, dying relatives the touring has not happened as often as I would have liked. A 55 would have been way more appropriate, for me, for the 5 years I’ve now had the SL.It was like shooting fish in a barrel…
There was a couple of R171 M113 55’s and a couple of the rarer R172 55’s with the M152 engine - didn’t photograph them obviously…
Is there a reason why wannabe badging is usually accompanied by a personal number plate? With thanks to the SLK owners at Sports Cars in the Park at Newby Hall today… a selection…
A wrapped 250d parked pretty much right next to Dave’s S63… even had bi-turbo badges on the wings…

I have this sticker on my SL500, does this entitle me to put one on the boot .
Guess it’s original, as pretty pointless where it is..

Any link to it?I have one for sale if you're still interested.
There does seem to be a correlation.....Not sure perhaps I should badge mine then as I have a personal plate :-().

I would say the majority of true AMG cars have such plates so perhaps they are simply completing the imitation process....There does seem to be a correlation.....
