Mercedes is due to start manufacture of their C class in their plant in Tuscaloosa Alabama currently making the large 4x4 models for the US and world markets. Changing buying patterns and the economic recession means Mercedes has seen sales of it’s R Class, GL and ML drop 50% in 2009.
