On another thread I bought the R16 resistor issue up, I'm interested to know what ppl think about the notion of tweaking it or indeed unplugging it to boost performance. I read a number of threads on the US biased forums but I expect there are differences between a US spec 2.3 and Euro 2.0 (not to mention fuel grades) and the tweak may not work.

So what the story with the R16?
