thermostat reading

just bought a e220cdi,01 reg with 12,0000,miles on clock.the reading was just over 60,then when stuck in traffic on m25,it went upto 80,is this normal,my old merc c250td stayed at 80,all the time,even in traffic.just joined forum hi to all btw.

the mileage should of read 120,000

Nothing wrong, the engine fan does not turn on till 80c and any electric 100c

cheers for reply mate,im one of these paranoid car buyers.also the reverse lights dont work,changed bulbs still no good.

cheers for reply mate,im one of these paranoid car buyers.also the reverse lights dont work,changed bulbs still no good.

The reverse light problem will be the switch on the gear shift, there is info on the site on how to get to this
