I was just looking at the A Class today, not sure why as I don't really like the shape, but anyway I saw this and the price seems too good to be true. Is it worth looking at

Seems a little cheap to me, could be it has a CAT C or D attached that the seller isnt telling about.
Nice looking car though the new A class, I also liked the C you put up for sale.

It never occurred to me that it could be a CAT C or D :(

We still love our C Class, but are trying to be sensible about selling it. Right now we have 2 cars that I find hard to drive and it really isn't fair

We had a call from a guy today about our C Class so we will see how that goes :D

Well I was right to be suspicious about the price of the car, when I emailed it turns out the car is in Switzerland. On Autotrader it came up as 6 miles from me, so unless Switzerland has moved overnight, there is some mistake there

They want shipping costs on top of the price of the car, not sure what that would cost. Trouble is I wouldn't be happy buying a car that I haven't seen.

Only other car I found that was a good price was a CAT D :(

It will be a scam Lyn, they are all over the net at the moment.
Why would someone advertise a car at 30% 40% or even 50% less than the guide price, because the car doesn't exist, or ot os a clone.
You are supposed to pay for it up front and you never get the car.....and your cash is gone....long gone

Lyn,

You might want to remove the link for Autotrader, I presume that's your postcode showing

I'm not really sure exactly what I am looking for to be honest. In fact I'm not even sure I actually need a car, it would just be nice to have a small car that has 4 seats and is easy to drive :D

I'm not too up on the A Class, maybe someone can give me an idea which model would be a good one to buy?

We have someone coming tomorrow to look at the Merc, least they say they are, we will see. I might start another thread for that one ;)

What I love about this forum is how quick people are to respond to any problems you have.

In the years i've been posting here I've never had to bump up a post to get a response.

I wish I could say the same for the Porsche forum :(

We have some condensation on the passenger window, just a tiny bit where the window meets the seal. We thought it was from washing and waterproofing the hood, but obviously not as it went away and has come back. I assume a Porsche is totally different to a Mercedes with regards to that kind of problem or is there a universal solution

Sadly when one goes down market one has to put up with such failures:cool:

I've been racking my tiny brain to remember what the scam was about. Did the vendor say how they wanted payment?

Read this

It's not the exact scam I had in mind but similar
