Hi chaps,

6 weeks ago I had my inlet manifold replaced. Since then the car has been fine no problems. Then on Friday come home from work I noticed the power wasn't great and car was in limp mode and wouldn't let me go over 3000rpm then I tried it 2 hours later in it was back to normal? Yesterday I went for a drive just 50 miles round trip car was fine. Then at around 6pm had to nip to the shop car was again in limp home mode so I stopped the turned engine off and on then it was back to normal. Great! Then setting off home from shop turned engine on booom amber engine light on!!!!!!!!! And I limp mode. I just went to the gym and engine light is still on but out of limp mode???? I'm cracking up I'm pulling what little hair I have left out. I'm calling the indy garage I got the manifold job done. I think i can feel a leak close to where the manifold is on the engine. Any ideas?

as posted last week, start it up and look at the turbo and wastgate control... drivers side (RHD) rear of engine with the cover off.... whilst idling if you blip the throttle is should snap back and forth in a lively manner, moving more less as u blip more or less

if this is NOT moving... could be a fuse popped in front SAM (44 ??) and or the swirl flap motor gone again (or it was never replaced !!!)…. or could well be the waste gate actuator doing its designed to fail fun... with engine cold really easy to take off and then can get clips off the plastic box and take a look.... and see if any of the tiny link wires from multiplug to the circuit board have come adrift.... if brave and good with soldering iron, can fix yourself its easy, take a look on youtube and or get secondhand one off fleabay

dodgy forum software... duplicated

does anyone else get these frequent random keel over sessions where this site won't respond? Sometimes the browser comes up page not found for 10 minutes at a time. I went to Edge to see if its Microsoft killing off IE11, but this site couldn't be found on that either

Just tried the car and no safe mode and no engine light arrrrggggghhhhhh?

If the CEL has come on there will be stored fault codes. even if its not showing now and its not in limp mode.
Have you a friendly indy who will read the stored codes for you, or preferrably clear them and see what returns?
