This takes 2 days start to finish averaging 7 hours a day, great fun.

Nice...

Of course the other way is to drive one daily and not repair/replace things as they drop off or break. You will be left with a similar shell after about 3 years i'd say....:lol::lol:

In all honesty, the Vaneo is way worse! Had this misfortune to be taxi'd 100km in one. Originally I thought the car was some French rubbish and started thinking how lucky I was to drive a Merc, then I took a look at the steering wheel, the silver star, it was a Vaneo  Im sure my A140 was nowhere near as bad as the Vaneo (I think it was diesel, but couldnt tell it was that noisy)!

What a waste of a reasonable vehicle.............There are many cars on the road in much worse condition than that A Class was.
Maybe it is a sign of the times that we are prepared to scrap "reasonable" cars these days?
Such a pity in this modern world of recycling :(

I assume the previous owner of the vehicle abandoned it because it had become a pain in the buttocks (maintenance wise). As you say a vehicle of that age should have still been " A Good Little Runner" ! Now, if it had been a 1932 Austin 10 Top Hat fabric body saloon it would still be going steady.

Even if pulling to the right before stopping eventually?
