Hi All:
First post from an MB virgin, be gentle with me.
Is it possible to fit a 3 pointed star bonnet badge to a CLK.
Look forward to your replies.

Hi & Welcome,

I've moved this out to the relevant section. I don't see why you cannot fit a "bomb-site" as long as you get the correct size one to fill the hole vacated by the flat badge. MB dealers are the best place to go for the badges IMO

i'm trying to think whether the clk ever had a bomb sight. I think some earlier ones did but not so sure about the current models. Have alook from underneath and see whether there is a hole in the bonnet skin (under the flat badge) to allow one to pass through.

I think traditionally, the MB's with sporting pretensions like the CLK and others, are given a badge in the radiator grille to differentiate them from other MB models. Fitting one on the bonnet might look rather odd above the existing one on the grille.

Don't thank me, according to what I've been told, the larger front grille badge is what Mercedes used to reserve exclusively for its sporting two-door machines. Why it's on an ML, who knows, I suppose there are exceptions to every rule.
