Yep looks like I got them (2 of) came to see the bike the other day I also had the stupidity to let the w*****'s out not once but f****n' TWICE!!!! to "test ride". Iv'e still got his mob no and on the verge of telling them somthing they really wont like....

If I got something through the post I'd go to his address (whether it's right or not well I dont know)....which I asked for, I tell you though I'm still in two mind's whether to phone the pr ick and tell him what I think.

I have 2 witnesses that saw them and if anything did come back i'd go to the cops with what I have and let them deal with it. Iv'e also get a tx written out ready to send....should I send it or not....or phone him or just wait and see if/what anything happen's.

What you do!?...

Looks like Stulc has been trying to sell his motorbike. Two potential buyers have looked at it and were given the pleasure of a test ride. It also appears that during the test ride they were perhaps a little unsensitive to Stulc's bike and possibly broke one or two traffic laws.
Stulc is now thinking about having words with these two individuals and expressing his displeasure. He is also concerned that whilst test riding his motorbike they may have been caught speeding. He is therefore checking the post for any notice of intending prosecutions.
His question is should he contact the two test pilots by text message or phone and give them a piece of his mind.

IMHO I would contact the police and give them the details of the two test pilots, noting the details of the police officer. Even if nothing comes through the post you have reported the incident so are covered just in case.

Easy way around that - "they showed me a motorcyle insurance policy which had 3rd party coverage on all bikes"

Good thinking Blobcat.......I think I will give the police the info that I have allbeit not much apart from a mob no and an address (if it's gen) and the bike the guy currenty has, again if it's true!

But one thing I thought of....if he did go through a camera they'd have if jacket/helmet/posture ect, if it came to it I'd show them what I wear (my neighbours, mother, friends) could confirm this....that it was me, plus when when he was cought I was in the house....should be quite simple really.

Probably nothing will come of it....but if it does...well....

Im sure Stulc asked the rider for adequate proof of insurance or at the very least asked that the rider was insured as one would not liked to be "knocked off" for permitting no insurance if indeed the rider is uninsured!

14 days from time of the offence for the Notice of intended of Proecution to be sent to the identified owner of the bike. Normally includes a requirement to supply name and address of rider/ driver too. Outside of 14 days cops have to show that the information of the owner was not readily avaiable and show what enquiries resulted in the NIP being late!

You have my sympathy Stulc.

I sold my first bike (Suzuki GT 185) to a spotty youff who firstly test rode it until it ran out of fuel (after 3 hours you start to worry if he's put it under a lorry and whether to report the bike as stolen) and then showed up with wodge of crisp £20's at which point I promptly forgot that I had sworne to choke the s**t out of him if he ever got back alive.

Two hours later the cops are on the phone ... "you haven't spent the money have you sir???"

Turns out he had nicked the cash from his mum.

I spent the next four hours down at the cop shop sorting out the mess.

Should have stuck to plan A and got on with the choking....

These pair sound like a couple of wasters so do whatever you need to to protect your back. If they have seen your security as well, see if you can leave the bike at another address for a little while. It's not unknown for keys to be copied (not Honda's HSS system) during "test rides" and if they like what they saw and know how to get it they may well be back.
