Hi all,

I have a 2000 yr model CLK 230K and Im just wondering when I should replace the timing belt - car has around almost 80k miles on clock.

I do not know if it has been replaced by previous owner.

Any tips / advice gratefully accepted.

Regards,

If you can find a timing belt I would change it...
Seriously as you have a duplex chain it will not need changing anytime soon

Blobcat - cheers for that - just car is off to Ireland in a few days and Father is worried of me breaking down (due to "timing belt" - he had a sticky situation when driving my old 205 GTi a few yrs ago over there when its timing belt gave up the ghost on him - "once bitten, twice shy")

also would the same advice go for his own E class??

Cheers,
