TMC on COMAND

New e-class delivered next week with COMAND - I've been searching these forums and the web to see if I can expect it to come with TMC enabled - anyone know the definitive answer? And if it's not, should they upgrade free as I understand that cars delivered from January were meant to have it?

it is and it will be. or burn the dealer down.

check that its Version 5 on the box for the dvd. if they have slung in V4.1 go and shout at them.

i would expect you car will be supplied with it direct from MB so you should not have any trouble. but let us know anyway

What version of the DVD depends on when the car was actually manufactured.

After a certain date the factory will have stopped receiving the old version discs and started to receive the new versions which will activate the TMC.

I think that all E-Class manufactured after January 2006 will have the new disc so if your car has been sourced from stock manufactured before the end of 2005 then it could still have an old disc.

Hmmm - thanks. It was with another dealer where my bloke sourced it from - I think in about early April. Thanks for the tip on the version - I'll have a gander when it turns up!

Got it - it's V 5, so TMC active.

Have you put your VIN into the Russian site to check when it actually was made?
